Blanca Prieto Acera is a Brussels-based violinist specialised in historically informed performance, active in orchestral, operatic and chamber music projects across Europe. Alongside her work with early music ensembles, she develops an artistic practice that brings together performance, improvisation and interdisciplinary creation.

She performs regularly with ensembles such as B’Rock Orchestra, Anima Eterna Brugge, Les Muffatti, Terranova Collective, BachPlus, Le Concert d’Anvers and Millennium Orchestra, collaborating with leading conductors and appearing in major concert halls and festivals. In 2020 she co-founded The WIG Society, an ensemble in residence within the European platform EEEmerging+, with which she has performed at festivals including Musique3, Festivita, MA Brugge, Ambronay and Grandezze & Meraviglie, and recorded her debut album for Arcana (Outhere Music).

Alongside this ensemble and orchestral activity, Blanca is deeply engaged in artistic creation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Her work often brings together early music, improvisation, dance and theatre, creating spaces where historical repertoire meets contemporary artistic languages. Recent collaborations include Chapters of Celebration by Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, Summertime by Thierry Smits, and Shapereader by Ilan Manouach.

She is also a co-creator of Duo Calambur (collage music for baroque instruments) and currently performs with improvisation-focused groups such as INcluster, SKEW (with Seijiro Murayama) and FLOW (with dancer Célia Rorive), continuing to explore new ways for sound, movement and space to interact.
